Another Important Step Toward Independence

Twelve teenagers from residential care institutions spent an active and meaningful weekend, May 22–24, at the Orphans Future Foundation house.

The theme of the weekend was financial literacy for young people. Together with trainer Olia Khilko, they developed practical skills such as how to plan expenses, distinguish between needs and wants, save for their dreams, and develop a responsible attitude toward money — skills that will certainly be essential in adult life.

After the training, the children received financial literacy notebooks to continue practicing what they learned.

Together with foundation representatives Andriy and Volodymyr, the participants played outdoor games and enjoyed lively conversations about life after institutional care.

We sincerely thank Faine Misto for providing a delicious lunch for the participants, and Best Kids for donating food for the picnic.

Special thanks to Ken Saridge for providing pocket money and real-life spending money for our children.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who helps our teenagers not only dream about independent living, but begin learning how to live it today.

Join us, share our mission with your friends, and help make practical life lessons possible before these young people reach adulthood.
