Hygiene as a Form of Self-Care and Health

True health is not just the absence of illness, but a state of overall well-being, energy, and self-confidence. This is exactly what our kids learned at the recent "My Health and Hygiene" practical training session held from November 14th to 16th in Ternopil.

Trainer Bohdan Korkh didn't just review the basics of personal hygiene with the teens; he helped them understand how hygiene and destructive habits impact their well-being, mood, and social interactions. Clean hands, well-groomed hair, and neat clothes aren't just rules—they are an expression of respect for yourself and those around you. A daily routine, physical activity, and even regular cleaning of your living space all contribute to your overall health.

Our goal is for these teenagers to change their attitude toward their own health and to see that taking care of themselves is simple, accessible, and gives them real strength and confidence every single day.

Beyond the classroom sessions, the boys and girls learned how to plan a menu, understand pricing, and cook simple meals. They went grocery shopping on their own, learned how to select products, manage money, and stick to a budget.

The hands-on experience and skills our participants gained have boosted their confidence, as they practiced dealing with real-life situations that independent people face every day.

Thank you to everyone who supports the socialization programs of the Orphans" Future Foundation. Together, we are opening up opportunities for children and youth to develop and prepare for adult life.
