Report on the practical training "Time management and planning" for 12 orphan teenagers

The training took place from October 11 to 13 at the base of the Orphans Future Foundation in the city of Ternopil.

12 teenagers from Berezhan, Sumy and Ternopil, who are preparing for independent living, developed the ability to effectively manage their time and plan, self-care skills necessary for a less traumatic transition to an independent life: set priorities; made short- and long-term plans; got acquainted with the use of tools for time management (diaries, applications); learned to allocate time to important or urgent; were looking for a balance between study and recreation.

Yuliya Krekhovets planned the training format by conducting interesting interactive exercises, group discussions, modeling life situations, using time management methods in a game form.

Teenagers learned to allocate time to different areas of life, taking into account the importance of rest and study.

Acquired skills in using simple tools for planning (diary, time management applications).

Prepared a menu for breakfast and dinner independently, taking into account the balance of nutrients and the availability of products.

Each participant prepared breakfast and dinner, which included planning time for preparation and following the recipe.

Teenagers went to the supermarket and independently made purchases of products according to the list, using real money and taking into account their budget.

Gained experience in making independent decisions in real-life situations, such as choosing products and managing a budget.

Participants noted that the training helped them better understand the importance of organizing their time and showed the practical value of planning, as well as how to prepare meals and plan shopping.

We would like to thank Ruslan Babyak, an instructor and a participant in the hostilities, who gave the children an introductory event on the use of a tourniquet in case of injury and an airsoft trigger. Children listened and learned with great interest.

Thus, the training contributed to increasing the adolescents' confidence in their ability to independently manage time, finances, and self-care and assistance skills.

We would like to thank Ternopil city public welfare institutions for their help in organizing meals for our 12 participants of the "On the threshold of independent life" program: "Autoport" cafe, "Churchil" restaurant.

Thank you for the opportunity for children to buy products for real money to the constant benefactor Jonathan and Mara Philip.

The cost of this weekend's program was:

1700 hryvnias gas station (fuel)

3800 hryvnias the children bought food for two breakfasts, two dinners and two coffee breaks.

3600 hryvnias payment to the trainer and taxes
