In an interactive form, coach Bohdan Korkh taught boys and girls how to protect themselves in case of random acquaintances, the dangers that may lurk, and how to act if such an acquaintance occurs. After all, teenagers encounter such dating often and quickly make connections that often have negative consequences, especially online dating and especially teenagers who grow up without parental care.
The children tried to increase their sweet self-esteem during self-presentation and show self-confidence during training by Maxim. Compared to the previous classes, teenagers began to express their thoughts and ideas out loud more actively. The participants also learned about effective listening and communication and how to convey their own to others while respecting other views. This topic will contribute to the overall development and success of these children in their future lives.
Art therapy with Alla Melnychuk allowed the participants to immerse themselves a little in creativity and themselves. The children made wonderful pictures.
Having united in teams, young people made their own menu and food budget; they bought food and prepared breakfast and dinner for themselves. And, the participants of the Program were treated to warm and tasty lunches by public catering establishments of the city of Ternopil: "Three Mykola" and "Best Kids". We are very grateful to them for such help and wish them success and more visitors, thanks to which the hosts can treat the needy for free.
The program "On the threshold of independent life" has been implemented since 2012. From year to year, the Program is improved and modified in accordance with the realities of today. We thank the care institutions, the Department of Education and Science of TOVA for their close cooperation, because only by joint efforts can we give hope and instill faith in a better future for children who live without parents.
We thank the benefactors who support and make it possible for us to run this program.
The cost of such a visiting program for 11-12 participants from children's institutions is UAH 5,000.
We thank volunteers Volodymyr Yavorskyi and Andriy Nazarenko for mentoring.
