Eugene Hlyva Scholarship for Orphan Students

We congratulate sixteen orphan students who won the "Eugene Hlyva Scholarship" and wish them further success. On Student Day, October 17, students who successfully passed all stages of the competitive selection for the Eugene Hlyva Scholarship Program attended a meeting at the Resource Center for Orphans which is operated by Orphans’ Future Foundation.

In a safe and warm atmosphere, we got to know each student better. They talked about their dreams, student life and about the challenges for young people in getting an education.

This meeting with the young people helped us to understand that implementation of educational programs and projects is necessary for the development and success of orphan youth in society.

This time the sixteen young people are students from 8 educational institutions of the Ternopil region: the TNPU named after V. Hnatyuk, the TNEU Ternopil, the Ternopil College of Food Technologies and Trade, the Secondary School "Chortkivske VPU", the DPTNZ "Zalishchytske VPU", the Terebovlya Vocational College of Culture and Arts, the Ternopil VPU restaurant service trade and trade service services and tourism.

Every Program participant received a Scholarship Certificate (from September to December 2020).

The competition for participation in the Eugene Hlyva Scholarship Program lasted from July to the end of September 2020. In early October the board and supervisory board of the Orphans’s Future Foundation considered 20 applications and selected 16 of them.

At the end of the meeting, our students were treated with pizza and juice, thanks to the help from Charlie, a friends from the United States

The Eugene Hlyva Scholarship is a non-governmental, social and charitable program launched by the Ternopil Regional Charitable Foundation Orphan’s Future in January 2020.

These scholarships allow students and young people aged 16-35 from among orphans and children deprived of parental care, to improve their educational and practical skills, and most importantly, to improve their financial situation.
