During December 16-23, 2017, the volunteers of the Orphans’ Future Foundation spent time and congratulated about a hundred children deprived of parental care of the boarding schools of the Ternopil region during celebration of St. Nicholas Day (December 19th) and conducted a number of charity events for the children.
On December 17th, 47 pupils from six orphanages of Ternopil region visited St. Nikolas's residence which is located in Ivano-Frankivsk region, western Ukraine. The children with great pleasure communicated with the true Saint Nicholas, told him poems and sang songs; carefully considered the mansion in which he lives. In turn, Nicholas told the children the story of the origin of the holiday of St. Nicholas. At the end of the visit, every child received from Nicholas, an unforgettable gift and souvenir. In addition to the visit of the St. Nicholas' residence, the children visited the Pysanka Museum in the city of Kolomyia, Western Ukraine. The winter fairy tale for children was organized by Tour-agency Viki-Tour in Ternopil and sponsored by Real Men Real Style Company, the USA.
Also, 14 children from Nove Selo orphanage boarding school visited Ternopil city where they took part in the master class of making paper angels and later on tasted pizza at the Scorini Restaurant. Also, the children visited the central Christmas tree, ran at the attractions, warmed up with hot cocoa and received gifts at the end of the holiday.
More than 100 children deprived of parental care of the region received sweet gifts, tangerines and bananas, chocolates, stationery: color pens, markers, pencils, school pens, rulers, as well as hygiene products: toothpaste, toothbrush and soap.
