Give a Child a Smile

Before New Year eve, Orphans Future was able to assist the children of Zbarazh and Terebovlya boarding schools for children suffering from various medical condition to receive the necessary items to develop and improve their health. The children from Zbarazh boarding school received inhalers, quartz lamps, medical syrup, coloring books, interesting educational booklets and sweets whilst the children from Terebovlya boarding school received sports equipment for physical therapy (mats, fitness balls), coloring books, booklets, medical syrup and sweets. These assistance was made possible by donations from caring people at the annual charity event "Give a smile 2016", which was initiated and conducted by volunteers of the university youth organization, "Fayne Misto", under the sponsorship of Orphans Future. The aim of the charity event was to help improve the quality of life of children who live in state-run orphanages. This event was conducted from the 5th till 17th December 2016 at the main square of Ternopil city and the shopping mall "Podolyany", and gave the caring families with children an opportunity to take photos with St. Nicholas and at the same time donate to a good cause for the orphans.

When the volunteers arrived at the orphanage boarding schools to give the equipment and gifts to the children it was a very excited time for everyone. In appreciation for the gifts and attention given by the volunteers, the children enthusiastically entertained with interesting Christmas performances.

Sincerely thanks everyone who took part in this charity event and gave a smile to children. Thanks to Diana the coordinator of the event Give a Smile. Thanks to our volunteer driver Ruslan Davosyr, who is always reliable, to volunteers Ivan Abramets and Irina Vakalyuk.
