From March 1st to 13th, 2016 four representatives of Orphans’ Future: Andriy Nazarenko, Nadia Yatsyshyn, Irina Vakalyuk and Volodymyr Yavorsky took part in four training seminars to enhance their skills in such topic areas as, "Fundraising" and "Learning to Write Projects," conducted by "Ukrainian School Elite" Kyiv, "Youth for Youth" conducted by the organization "Partnership for Every child” Kyiv and "Training for Future Trainers", held by the "International Center for Development and Leadership (ILDC)" Kyiv.
Each participant spent from 16 to 32 hours of learning with professionals. Each person gained from the useful knowledge and experience shared by other organizations from fifteen regions of Ukraine, who participated in these trainings. Our members learnt how to attract additional resources to our own projects, how to write and present a good project to a prospective donor; what teaching methods to use when training the children and young people and to motivate them and capture their attention. These studies have a positive impact on future work of our young team with orphans and children deprived of parental care in the Ternopil Region.
During 2016 it is intended to provide the opportunities for orphan graduates to undertake such trainings to raise their level of knowledge and to prepare them to be better equipped to contribute to the work of our organization and even introduce new ideas for projects and how to implement them.
We thank our partner, The Netherlands charity organization WALO, for providing the opportunity to participate in such training programs.
