From June 19 through June 24, 2013, the Executive Director of Orphans’ Future, Andriy Nazarenko, visited London, Great Britain, where he took part in the celebration of the Ivana Kupala Event 2013. The goal of the event was to raise charitable funds for disadvantaged children in Ukraine. It was organized by the charitable organization, Ukraine Charity.
Andriy sincerely thanked everyone who financially supported the Orphans’ Future social projects implemented during 2011-2013. Those projects included:
• Repairing and constructing gyms in the Ternopil and Berezhany orphanages;
• Providing computers to the Berezhany orphanage and the Ternopil Resource Center for Orphans, which is managed by Orphans’ Future;
• Supplying essential items to young orphans living in the Ternopil social hostel located at 26 Karpenka Street; and
• Overhauling and remodeling the woodworking shops in the Berezhany orphanage.
Andriy also had the opportunity to establish new contacts with the Ukrainian community living and working in London. He visited the Ukrainian Cultural Center and the European Bank for Reconstruction & Development where he discussed possible projects for implementation. Also, he met with friends of orphans: Christina Dmytryk, Olya Dmytryk and Olya Voytovych, all of whom consistently support children in Ternopil. They donated 600 pounds and wished the Foundation and its volunteers ongoing success in their good deeds and efforts.
Andriy wishes to express sincere thanks to Olya Dmytryk and her family. They graciously provided very nice accommodations, food and excursions to the main historical attractions of London.
