Orphan children got back to their schools after the Christmas and New Year holidays.
To implement charitable programs and training projects in 2013, the Orphans’ Future received a grant in the amount of $7 000 US dollars from the "Global Fund for Children" https://www.globalfundforchildren.org/ - an organization that provides grants to newly formed charitable organizations around the world to support their work aimed to assist and protect children from vulnerable groups. GFC supports organizations and programs whose activities are focused on four areas: education, business, safety, mental and physical health.
On January 29-30, 2013 – the International Conference "Quality and accessibility of services for children and families: INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS AND PRACTICES OF UKRAINE", was held in Kiev and organized by the "Partnership for Every Child". The Conference joined representatives from Ukrainian NGOs and charitable organizations, representatives of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Minister of Family, Children and Youth – Mr. Yuri Pavlenko.
The participants were divided into working groups. Andriy Nazarenko participated in the Panel Discussion "Social inclusion of graduates from state-run orphanages”. As the result a document was developed to ensure national standards for social services for graduates of orphanages. The standards will apply to both government as well as charitable organizations.
